Plan Your Trip

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1: Check Weather and River Conditions

It is important that you check the weather and river conditions status before your trip, as conditions out of our control sometimes will not permit us to open for the day.

Step 2: Get Reservations

Booking can be done on-site at 4349 Abbotts Bridge Rd- or in advance by phone or online. Booking online in advance will help speed up check-in, but it isn’t necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Online booking does not always guarantee a spot for that day. If booking on the weekend, we highly suggest arriving early in the day to ensure you get on the river. Last trip usually departs at 1 PM.

Step 3: Check in

Once arrived, turn right to park. Find a parking attendant for waiver and parking help. $5 per car on weekends and holidays. Waivers at cashier or online. Complete waiver before payment. Use recognizable group name. Rent paddle, straps and bluetooth speakers with ID deposit. Stay near music for bus loading. On-site portable restroom/changing rooms available. Quiktrip nearby.

STEP 4: Bus Ride and “put-In”

Upon bus loading, drivers conduct attendance, provide safety/info speech. Pay attention for emergency instructions. Bus transports to boat ramp, 5-10 min from HQ. Exit bus courteously and watch for boaters, kayakers, and other tubers. Wait by bus for group names, tube count/types. Proceed to ramp with tubes, prepare for "put-in." Tube Jockeys will advise on proper connection. Be efficient on boat ramp to avoid heavy traffic and wait times.

Step 5: The Float

We know it seems like a lot up to this point, we promise we try to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible. The hard part is over, now is the time to take in the scenery, and relax. Our tubes have our phone number on them. If an issue occurs, please call that number. ONLY CALL 911 IN AN EMERGENCY.

Step 6: “Take-Out”

MEDLOCK BRIDGE

Once you see the second bridge, paddle to the left and continue floating for the home stretch. Please make an effort to move to the left side as we have limited staff. Wait for permission before exiting your tube at Medlock's narrow boat ramp. Follow the Jockey’s directions to make it easier for everyone. Be quick when leaving the water and be careful on land. Carry your belongings and gear up the ramp and to the jockey in the parking lot to return your tube. Remember to hold onto your paddle/strap/speaker rentals for your ID.

STEP 7: Bus Ride and Rental Return

While waiting for the bus, watch out for cars and boats. Our staff will show you where to wait safely while buses are backing up. The 20-25 minute bus ride takes you back to your car. Return rented gear at our cashier's window at HQ. Thanks for tubing with us!
